CJB.NET is a free Unix shell provider which uses a FreeBSD operating system.
They also provide domain services as well as web hosting.
Although not exceptionally fast, you can use your CJB.NET shell account to tunnel via SSH in order to bypass firewalls and some other fun stuff.
$ ssh -C -D 8080 -fN firstname.lastname@example.org
The above command uses ssh to create a SOCKS5 proxy on localhost port 8080.
The -C parameter compresses the data, the -n disables remote commands and the F sends the process to the background. The -D parameter dynamically forwards the port localhost:8080 to email@example.com, which in turn exits into the Tor network.
It’s free, and who knows if it’s a honeypot, but for my purposes it is satisfactory.
